This scene is intended to depict the history of the famous Concord Coach, made in New Hampshire and in service from 1827 to the late 1920's.
It is also intended to honor the the history of this coach with Well Fargo and the movie "Stagecoach" 1939, staring John Wayne.
That is why the John Wayne rifle is set below the scene. See also the John Wayne Collection.
Wells Fargo’s link with the six-horse stagecoach comes from Wells Fargo’s real history of using, owning, guarding, and operating them.

The word "stage" originally referred to the distance between stations on a route, the coach traveling the entire route in "stages," but through constant misuse it came to apply to the coach. A stagecoach could be any four wheeled vehicle pulled by horses or mules, the primary requirement being that it was used as a public conveyance, running on an established route and schedule.

Concord Coaches weighed about 2,500 pounds, and cost $1,100 each, including leather and damask cloth interior.
