In common usage Winchester rifle usually means any of the lever-action rifles manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, though the company has also manufactured many rifles of other action types. Winchester rifles were among the earliest repeating rifles; the Winchester repeater is colloquially known as "The Gun that Won the West" for its predominant role in the hands of Western settlers.

This is a full size, 41" long X 71/2" wide, one dimensional, replica of the Winchester 92.

Although the Model 92 made its debut after the closing of the American frontier, and the true "Guns that Won the West" were the earlier Models 1866 and 1873, nonetheless the '92 became an indelible icon of Western mythology through its use in hundreds of motion pictures and television shows, standing in for its older siblings.

John Wayne famously carried Model 92s in dozens of films and owned several personally, some with the distinctive oversized "loop" lever.

John Wayne's signature is etched into the stock along with his silhouette.

It is made of 14 gauge steel with a copper color and a clear coat automobile finish.
